World of Wonder Childcare Center
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What ages do you accept?
We provide care for children from 6 weeks old through age 3, organized into four developmental stages: Infant, Pre-Toddler, Toddler, and Intermediate 3s. In our area, public schools offer pre-K starting in September when a child turns 3 (with a September 30th cutoff). At that point, your child graduates from our program and moves on to public pre-K. Our job is to prepare every child to confidently enter that next step.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are open year-round with only a limited number of holiday closures, approximately 15–17 days annually. We do not take extended week-long breaks. These intentional closures give our teachers time to rest so they can continue showing up with patience, energy, and genuine care for your child.
Do you offer year-round childcare or close during the year?
We are open year-round to support working families, with only a limited number of holiday closures (approximately 15–17 days annually). These intentional breaks give our teachers time to rest and spend time with their families—so they can continue showing up each day with patience, energy, and genuine care for your child. We do not take extended week-long breaks.
How do I enroll my child in your daycare?
The first step is to schedule a tour of one of our centers. During your visit, you’ll meet our team, see the classrooms, and learn more about our programs. From there, we’ll guide you through the enrollment process.
Do you have a waitlist?
Availability varies by classroom and time of year. Some age groups fill quickly, especially the Infant and Pre-Toddler rooms. We recommend scheduling a tour early so we can walk you through current openings and help you plan your start date.
Can I tour your childcare center before enrolling?
Absolutely. We encourage all families to schedule a tour so you can experience our environment, meet our teachers, and feel confident in your decision.
What makes your childcare center different from others?
Three commitments most childcare centers don't make. First, we build a community of families, not a transactional drop-off — many families stay connected for years after their children graduate. Second, we invest in professional development at every level, from the owner down to teacher assistants, through coaching, training, and ongoing learning. Third, we offer a fully immersive bilingual Spanish/English program from infancy, where both languages are woven throughout the entire day — not delivered as a once-a-week lesson.
Are you a bilingual daycare?
Yes. We offer a fully immersive bilingual Spanish/English program from infancy through graduation. Children are exposed to both languages throughout the entire day, woven naturally into circle time, music, story time, transitions, and conversations. Research shows early bilingual exposure supports cognitive flexibility, problem-solving, memory, and overall brain development.
Will my child still learn English in a bilingual program?
Yes — absolutely. Children in our bilingual program develop strong skills in both languages. At a young age, children are naturally wired to learn multiple languages and quickly learn to understand and communicate in both. By the time your child graduates from our program, they are well-prepared with the English language skills needed for pre-K, with the lifelong advantage of being bilingual.
Does being bilingual delay my child's speech?
We have not seen bilingual exposure delay speech development. What can sometimes feel like a delay is actually the opposite: a child who knows three words in English and three words in Spanish has a vocabulary of six words for their age — they're simply expressing it across two languages. By preschool, children in bilingual programs are typically on track or ahead of their monolingual peers.
Do you offer potty training support?
Yes, we partner closely with families on potty training. When the time is right, we schedule a meeting with you to walk through our approach, set shared expectations, and make sure both your child and your family are ready before we begin. Potty training works best as a partnership between home and the center, and we want every child to have a positive, supported experience.
What curriculum do you use?
We use a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports social-emotional growth, language development, early academics, and physical development.
How do you prepare children for pre-K?
We focus on developing the foundational skills children need to successfully transition into Pre-K, including independence, problem-solving, language development, and social-emotional skills. Our goal is to help children feel confident, capable, and excited for their next learning environment.
What does a typical day look like in your daycare?
Each day includes structured learning activities, free play, art, outdoor time, meals/snacks, and rest periods. We balance routine with flexibility to meet each child’s needs.
Do children go outside every day?
Yes, outdoor play is an important part of our program and is included daily, weather permitting.
How do you communicate with parents?
We keep families connected through daily updates, photos, and messages via our parent communication app, along with newsletters and conferences.
What safety measures do you have in place?
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We maintain a controlled entry process where all visitors are personally verified before entering, ensuring we always know who is in the building. Our staff is trained in safety protocols, and we follow strict check-in and check-out procedures for every child.
We also uphold rigorous cleaning and sanitation standards to provide a healthy environment, giving families peace of mind every day.
What happens if my child gets sick during the day?
If a child becomes ill, we notify parents immediately and follow our health policies to ensure the safety of all children and staff.
Do you offer full-time and part-time daycare options?
Yes, we offer flexible scheduling options, including full-time and part-time care, depending on availability.
How much does daycare cost?
Tuition varies based on your child's enrollment schedule, with programs starting at $1,675 per month. Tuition includes full-day care during our operating hours, our proprietary theme-based curriculum, bilingual programming, scheduled extracurricular activities, and meals for children 18 months and older.
